2018 Performance Venues
At Inspirations Theater Camps we believe that the magic of the theater can happen anywhere. Whether you're in a classroom, church basement, living room, or 800-seat theater with a 50-foot stage, both kids and adults can transport themselves into a magical world through drama.
That said, we like to find places that help add a little magic of their own for our performances. We're happy to have the following spaces for 2018:
Autumn Theater Club: Alberta Abbey
Once a church, the folks at Alberta Abbey have transformed the space into an auditorium available for community events.
Oregon 3-Week Camp: Alpenrose
Where else can you find a dairy farm that has baseball fields, a miniature pioneer city, a cycling racetrack (called a velodrome, for you trivia buffs out there)...and a ~500 seat theater? This space has a wonderfully wide stage, comfortable seating, and two mini-balconies side-stage that the kids will love.
We're happy to host our spring theater club and final week of our three-week camp and its three performances at the Alpenrose Opera House 6149 SW Shattuck Rd. (first two weeks of camp are at Portland Waldorf School 2300 SE Harrison, Milwaukie, Oregon; theater clubs at various schools)
Vermont Camp: Chelsea Town Hall
Our home since we were founded, the Chelsea Town Hall, built in 1894, has an elegant stage, lovely painted backdrops dating back 100 years, and a balcony. Located in downtown Chelsea 296 Vt. Rte. 110, Chelsea Vermont
Oregon 1-Week: Portland Waldorf School
For this shorter camp we like to create a homey feel. We do the show right where we rehearse it at the Portland Waldorf High School Music Room, a perfect size for our group and audience.
Cornelius 1-Week: Swallowtail School
We do our show in Swallowtail School's Assembly Room
