OLYMPUS REHEARSAL SCHEDULE / ORCHESTRA INQUIRIES
[Page last updated 12/16/19]
ACTOR AUDITIONS: The first round of Olympus auditions are complete. While we are not soliciting actors / auditions at this time, if someone has just found out about this show, is completely bummed they missed auditions, believes they could offer something valuable to the production, and would go so far as to say their presence in the cast would be almost cosmically aligned, we respect the chutzpah.
You can send us a line at directortorsti@rovainenmusicals.com detailing
—A little about yourself
—Your interest in the production, and
—What you feel you could bring to the show / production if you were part of the cast.
The only remaining parts are chorus members, who sing and perform in our three big group numbers, and also are onstage during our Titan scene, Hades, and the Titan-Olympian battle.
ORCHESTRA INQUIRIES: we are still looking for a clarinetist and a bass player (acoustic or electric). Please contact us soon if you would like to be considered for these positions.

Olympus—A Community Musical Experience
Note: we consider this a community musical production. While we will be putting in all efforts to make the best show possible, look for a mix of actors in our line-up: a professional actor here, a retired firefighter there; a talented college or high school actor here, a stay-at-home Dad who always wanted to try a musical there. While for many community musicals actors work for free for the love of the experience, we have managed a stipend for all roles, amounts below.
Rehearsal / Performance General Schedule
If you are applying for a lead or individual role or chorus parts, you -must- be able to attend all full-group rehearsals, dress rehearsals the week of January 25 - 30, and any individual / group sessions for your character. We are open to making at most one-two exceptions to this for previously scheduled / unchangeable commitments.
By applying for a lead or individual role you are also committing to being off-book or extremely close to that by January 11th, and ideally by January 4th.
—Sections in boldface are for the entire cast

—Sections with ** are for orchestra.

Youth Ensemble (no stipend)
We are planning on having 6-8 talented sixth-eighth graders join for our Youth Ensemble. These actors play as demigod students in the play (some of whom have individual lines or solo sung lines), sing in the songs Olympus, We Need A Bride, and Slap on a Sash. They also sing What in the World.
